Dorchester County is seeking a skilled Wastewater Supervisor to oversee the construction, alteration, maintenance and repair of sanitary sewer lines, lift stations and related equipment. The role includes supervising crews, coordinating preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, six years of related experience, and valid CDL and D-Wastewater licenses.
DescriptionThe purpose of the class is to supervise the construction, alteration, maintenance and repair of sanitary sewer lines, lift stations and grinder pumps; to oversee the operations of sewer pump stations and grinder stations for the County; to inspect air release valves and wet wells; and to perform other technical work as required. The class is given a general outline of work to be performed and is free to develop work methods and sequences; work is reviewed by supervisor periodically.
