Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, two years in mechanical maintenance, a Texas CDL Class A, and TCEQ Water and II Wastewater licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with some college or specialized training in a related field.
• Two years experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, including work on electrical motors, control systems, pumps and low voltage electrical circuitry.
• Must have a valid Texas Class A CDL; TCEQ Class C Water and Collection II Wastewater licenses.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and pump curves.
• Must participate in the on-call rotation and respond to trouble calls after hours, including evenings, nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized and highly skilled tasks in construction, maintenance, repair and servicing of water and wastewater distribution system facilities and equipment.
• Oversee operation of pumps, motors and related electrical equipment and valves throughout water and wastewater systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and communications problems for SCADA.
• Coordinate activities with other departments, divisions, outside agencies and contractors.
• Enter confined spaces and work at heights and with low/medium voltage electrical equipment as required.
