Job summary

Avail is seeking Marine Service Technicians to join a hands-on, solutions-driven team that services U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and commercial vessels with on-site support in Chesapeake, VA.

Travel to client vessels and worksites to perform service, repair, maintenance, and certification activities, diagnosing and repairing actuator and valve systems as part of mission-ready operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic ram and cylinder overhauls.
• Conduct onboard grooms, equipment assessments, and RMVA installations.
• Test, inspect, and certify relief valves.
• Follow all company safety procedures and customer requirements while working aboard vessels and at industrial facilities.

Position Summary

Avail is seeking Marine Service Technicians to be part of a hands-on, solutions-driven team that services U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and commercial vessels. From electric and hydraulic actuation systems to globe and gate valve repairs, your work helps ensure vessels remain mission-ready, reliable, and operational.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client vessels and worksites to perform service, repair, maintenance, and certification activities.


• Diagnose and repair actuator and valve systems, including:

• Perform hydraulic ram and cylinder overhauls.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude with experience working on mechanical and/or hydraulic systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous U.S. Navy or marine industry experience.


• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and MIL-SPEC components.


• Certifications in valve testing, hydraulic systems, or related mechanical disciplines.
