SpiveyServices in Virginia offers traffic safety and sanitation solutions and is seeking an Utility Operations Technician to support daily field and yard operations through equipment handling, portable sanitation servicing, and sign installation.

The hands-on role requires safe operation of vehicles and equipment, asset upkeep, and assistance with a variety of operational tasks to support customers and project success.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Previous experience in construction, traffic control, sanitation services, equipment operation, or general labor preferred.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts, trucks, and other equipment.

Responsabilités

• Yard and Equipment Operations: maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment.
• Load, unload, stage, and secure equipment for deliveries and pickups.
• Assist with inventory management and equipment inspections.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed.
• Portable Sanitation Services: service portable toilets and sanitation equipment, pump, clean, sanitize, and restock supplies.
• Deliver, relocate, and retrieve portable sanitation units from customer locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Maintain service records and routed documentation.
• Sign Installation & Field Support: install, maintain, and remove traffic control signs and related safety devices.
• Load and transport signs, tools, and materials to jobsites.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Perform site preparation and basic construction-related tasks.
