Doodie Calls, LLC. is hiring a Portable Restroom Driver/Operator in Punta Gorda, FL. The role involves operating the pump truck on fixed routes to collect wastewater from portable units and dump it into the truck. This is a full-time or part-time, non-exempt position.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Requires 3 years of commercial driving experience (5 preferred) and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operates pump truck on pre-determined routes to collect waste from portable sanitation units.
• Performs pre-operation safety checks on the vehicle.
• Refuels truck and performs basic maintenance.
• Coordinates with dispatchers on delays or issues and documents them.
• Maintains pickup, mileage, and dump logs.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Portable Restroom Driver/Operator operates the pump truck on pre-determined routes, controlling the truck's pump or similar equipment to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck.

Job Classification:

Full-time & Part-time; non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Pay Scale:

$20-28 an hour (Non CDL = $20-24 and CDL = $25-28)

Location:

Punta Gorda, FL

Responsibilities:

• Operates pump truck on a pre-determined route; safely controls the pump as required to collect receptacles and deposit their contents in the truck.
• Performs and documents pre-operation safety checks on vehicle prior to embarking on route.
• Refuels truck and performs basic maintenance.
• Facilitates proper maintenance and mechanical service on truck by appropriate mechanics.
• Transports waste to the proper location for processing and/or disposal.
• Notifies dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues and documenting the same.
• Maintains logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License or similar classification to operate a pump truck required.
• 3 years of required commercial driving experience, 5 years preferred
• Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be located in the Punta Gorda, FL area
