The position is available as full-time or part-time, non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Pay ranges from $20 to $28 per hour, with CDL status influencing the rate. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required, and candidates should reside in the Ocala area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required to operate a pump truck.
• 3 years of required commercial driving experience, 5 years preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operates pump truck on a pre-determined route; safely controls the pump to collect receptacles and deposit contents.
• Performs and documents pre-operation safety checks on vehicle prior to route.
• Refuels truck and performs basic maintenance.
• Facilitates proper maintenance and service on truck by mechanics.
• Transports waste to the designated processing or disposal location.
• Notifies dispatchers of delays, unsafe sites, or issues; documents them.
• Maintains logs of pickup times, mileage, and dump logs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Portable Restroom Driver/Operator operates the pump truck on pre-determined routes, controlling the truck's pump or similar equipment to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck.

Job Classification:

Full-time & Part-time; non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Pay Scale:

$20-28 an hour (Non CDL = $20-24 and CDL = $25-28)
