Responsibilities

• Operates pump truck on a pre-determined route; collects receptacles and deposits contents in the truck.
• Performs and documents pre-operation safety checks on vehicle.
• Refuels truck and performs basic maintenance.
• Transports waste to processing or disposal sites as directed.
• Notifies dispatchers of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, or breakdowns.

Job Summary

The Portable Restroom Driver/Operator operates the pump truck on pre-determined routes, controlling the truck's pump or similar equipment to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck.

Job Classification

Full-time & Part-time; non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Location

Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Area

Responsibilities

• Operates pump truck on a pre-determined route; safely controls the pump as required to collect receptacles and deposit their contents in the truck.
• Performs and documents pre-operation safety checks on vehicle prior to embarking on route.
• Refuels truck and performs basic maintenance.
• Facilitates proper maintenance and mechanical service on truck by appropriate mechanics.
• Transports waste to the proper location for processing and/or disposal.
• Notifies dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues and documenting the same.
• Maintains logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 3 years of commercial driving experience required, 5 years preferred
• CDL License required
• Must be at least 25 years of age or older, due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles.
• Must be available to work some weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License or similar classification to operate a pump truck required.
• Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
