Job summary

Forsyth Rooter Service is seeking a Pump Truck Apprentice with a valid CDL Class B license and dump truck driving experience to join our Wilmington area team. This role offers hands-on training, daily site work, and the chance to grow within the trade while supporting experienced technicians on diverse wastewater/maintenance projects.

You will learn pump truck operations, equipment safety, and customer-facing service while contributing to safe, efficient job-site results.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license required.
• Dump truck driving experience required.
• Pump truck or similar commercial vehicle experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the trade.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Assist pump truck technicians with daily operations, including setup, maintenance, and cleanup of job sites.
• Follow predetermined routes to service assigned locations.
• Pump out waste, clean units, refill water, and restock supplies as needed.
• Operate and drive dump trucks and pump trucks safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine inspections of trucks and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company on-site.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety guidelines, DOT requirements, and company protocols.
