Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, seeks a Pump Technician to ensure proper installation and operation of pumps and associated systems. You will collaborate with contractors, engineers, and customers to install, test, and commission pump solutions.

The role requires an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering degree or related field, 2+ years of pump experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Travel across all 50 states is required; competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or related field.
Minimum 2 years’ pump technician experience.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Review project specifications and drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that pump systems are installed correctly.
Conduct pre-functional testing and commissioning of pump systems to ensure that they are operating correctly.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with pump systems.
Conduct flow tests on pumps to ensure proper operation.
Document and report on the results of testing and commissioning to the Customer.
Document all work performed and maintain accurate records. (Writing/ Photographs)
Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service.
Staying up to date with the latest fire protection technologies, codes, and standards.
