Job summary

Core & Main, a leading specialty distributor focused on water, wastewater, and fire protection products, is seeking a Pump Technician in the United States. The role covers installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support of pump systems across projects and sites.

You’ll collaborate with contractors, engineers, and customers to ensure compliance with codes, perform pre-functional tests, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate records while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree or related area.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Pump Technician or similar role.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift equipment not exceeding 50 lbs.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Travel willingness to cover all 50 states.

Responsibilities

• Review project specs and drawings to ensure codes/standards compliance.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers to ensure proper pump system installation.
• Perform pre-functional testing and commissioning of pump systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pump system issues.
• Conduct flow tests to verify pump operation.
• Document testing results and commissioning findings for the customer.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Communicate with customers and deliver excellent service.
• Stay up-to-date with fire protection technologies, codes, and standards.
