Job summary

Geiger Pump & Equipment Company is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide technical expertise for pump systems, assist with new projects, and support customer installations across industrial and municipal markets. You will work with sales, service, and operations to size and select pumps, review drawings, and develop engineered solutions.

Travel to customer sites and Baltimore shop visits will be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Associate degree with relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Champion company values and teamwork.
Assist with selection, sizing, and application of pumps and rotating equipment for new projects and replacements.
Collaborate with outside sales engineers to develop technical solutions meeting customer requirements.
Review specifications and drawings to recommend reliable, cost-effective equipment solutions.
Develop proposals, quotations, technical submittals, and engineered solutions with internal teams.
Provide technical support for existing installations including troubleshooting and performance evaluations.
Assist service team with diagnosing equipment issues and developing corrective actions.
Support startup, commissioning, field inspections, and performance verification as needed.
