Manufacturing Company in Midland, TX is seeking a Pump Mechanic Trainee to join our growing team. This entry-level role offers hands-on learning in the pump and mechanical services industry, with opportunities to develop skills in a busy Permian Basin environment.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, maintain and repair pumps, and collaborate with experienced technicians on site and in the shop. A valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs are required; bilingual

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and work in a team setting.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pump machinery, inspect pumps, troubleshoot and perform hands-on maintenance and repairs.
• Work with pumps, small engines, oil changes, and servicing rental equipment.
• Demonstrate teamwork and clear communication with colleagues.
• Support field service calls and on-site pump inspections at customer locations.
• Repair, fabricate, install and remove pumps and related equipment.
• Keep tools and work areas clean and organized; follow safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance of pump machinery, including inspecting pumps, ensuring they are in working order, troubleshooting,m and other hands‑on maintenance and repair work
• Working knowledge of pumps, small engines, changing oil, and servicing rental equipment
• Exhibit teamwork and excellent communication skills
• Support field service calls and on‑site pump inspections across customer locations
• Repair, fabricate, install, and remove a variety of pumps as well as other related equipment
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures on job sites and in the shop
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2 years of mechanical experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license
• Working together in a team environment
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus but not required
• Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs
• Bilingual a plus
