POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marathon Detroit Michigan Refinery has an opening for a pump mechanical mobile operator.

PAY AND BENEFITS:

• $42.50/hr. with scheduled annual increases
• Company sponsored annual bonus with target of 6% of eligible wages

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair, troubleshoot, and install various kinds of rotating equipment, including centrifugal, axial, and reciprocating compressors, centrifugal pumps, diaphragm and positive displacement pumps, chemical injection pumps, and their associated turbine and motor drives.
• Utilize various precision measurement devices and interpret equipment drawings and schematics.
• Complete routine paperwork and data report forms regarding rotating equipment condition, repairs, and measurements, while abiding by the work permit system and refinery safety standards.
• Maintain mobile equipment training for types such as Man Lift, Telehandler, and Forklift.
• Obtain NCCCO fixed Cab Certification within 9 months of starting if not already certified.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with lathe and milling machines preferred.
• Ability to wear PPE and perform physical tasks in the field.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Complete DOT physical.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without future VISA sponsorship.
• Pass written and hands-on skill tests.
