Job summary

Valero Energy in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a Mechanic 2nd Class - Pump to install, inspect, and maintain rotating equipment at our refinery. You will inspect pumps, align machinery, and perform tasks using hand and power tools on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience with rotating equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Machinist, millwright, or pump mechanic background is relevant.
• On-site work at Corpus Christi Refineries is required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, and maintains rotating equipment in the refinery.
• Inspects and maintains pumps.
• Adjusts and aligns machinery and equipment.
• Uses hand and power tools and prepares work sites.
• Demonstrates knowledge of mechanical principles and craft math.
• Understands bearings, seals, pumps and drive systems.
• Follows safety guidelines to ensure reliable operation.
• Overtime eligibility applies as this is hourly nonexempt work.
