Job summary

Sulzer in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking a Pump Mechanic to repair and maintain Sulzer Pumps and other manufacturers’ pumping equipment under limited supervision. The role covers assembly, disassembly, inspection, balancing, testing, and root-cause analysis with travel to customer sites.

You will diagnose failures, select proper repair materials, and ensure hydraulic requirements are met while adhering to specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pump repair experience.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pump equipment to specifications.
• Disassemble equipment for access and inspection.
