Job summary

Scientific Drilling seeks a Pulser Technician to join our Casper, Wyoming team. You will be responsible for repair, maintenance and readiness testing of Pulsers used in MWD operations, ensuring tools are qualified for deployment to field operations.

You will disassemble, inspect, reassemble and perform function tests, fill required documentation, and work with the team to troubleshoot issues and ensure safety and reliability of equipment in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• High School and/or Associate Degree.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Location, Physical Requirements and PPE

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, identify colors, hear with aid, see , write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry 25 lbs. and under, perceive depth, and operate motor equipment.
• Conditions include working inside. Working around moving objects, machines with moving parts. Working around radiant and electrical energy. Work with heated soldering iron and flux. Working closely with others, working alone, working extended and/or irregular hours. Working environment may include but not limited to, intermittent noise, fumes, smoke, grease, dust, oils and solvents.
• Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing the essential job function include but not limited to computer and related equipment, calculator, special instrumentation, hand tools, power tools, air tools, microscope and telephone. Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, safety glasses, reinforced toed shoes, gloves, and ear plugs or muffs.
