Hood Container Corporation is seeking a dedicated Operator Support for the Pulp Mill in St. Francisville, LA. This entry-level role supports core mill operations, handling materials and assisting with setup, monitoring, and maintenance while upholding safety standards.

You will join a team in a fast-paced industrial environment, contribute to production performance, and develop skills in safety compliance and equipment operations in a growing pulp and paper facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs.), stand for long periods.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and following protocols.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors.
• Assist operators and technicians with setup and monitoring.
• Load, unload, and transport materials.
• Adhere to environmental guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment (if certified).
• Monitor production areas for hazards and maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues under supervision.
• Follow LOTO and safety regulations.
• Support shutdowns and maintenance activities.
