Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America, Gladstone, VA, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner – Pulp to plan and schedule maintenance work orders and shutdowns. You will manage parts, materials, contractor services, and timelines to maximize equipment availability and meet mill objectives.

The role requires 3–5 years in an industrial setting, leadership ability, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an industrial setting in paper and pulp related function.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
• Strong leadership and effective teams leadership demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Plans and schedules mechanical maintenance work orders and scheduled shutdowns.
• Procures materials and manages shipments for rebuilds/repairs.
• Manages maintenance costs and justification when exceeding budget.
• Leads maintenance shutdown planning meetings and coordinates with mill objectives.
• Covers for area mechanical supervision during vacations or absences.
• Willing to work unscheduled hours and periodic on-call weekends.
