Job summary

OSF HealthCare seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to perform delegated clinical and administrative duties across clinical and front office settings. The role supports patient care under physician direction in a practice setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program (or CMA equivalency) and CMA certification. Prior experience with EMR and phlebotomy is preferred. This is an hourly position in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED and completion of Medical Assistant training
• Or CMA equivalency: 6 months CMA-type experience or on-the-job training proof
• If working in Rural Health Clinic, BLS by American Heart Association may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical and administrative duties.
• Provide clerical support and assist in front office tasks.
• Support delivery of health care and patient care activities as directed by physician/provider.
