Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an experienced RN to provide clinical nursing support for the pulmonology program, coordinating care and educating patients and families throughout diagnosis and treatment. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a comprehensive plan of care, participate in home check-ins, and attend appointments to explain test results and treatment options.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN or BSN completion program enrollment within an accredited BSN program.
• If hired prior to designated dates an ADN may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical nursing support for the pulmonology patient population.
• Acts as patient advocate and educator for patients and families.
• Coordinates referrals and overall plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Educates patients and families during bronchial thermoplasty treatment.
• Leads the smoking cessation program and seeks certification within one year.
