Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care for pulmonary diseases (COPD, asthma, ILD).

• Order/interpret diagnostic tests (PFTs, sleep studies) and develop treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and coordinate with primary care/specialists.
• Participate in a light outpatient call schedule.

Position Summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled, board-certified/board-eligible general Pulmonologist with experience in Sleep Medicine to join our thriving outpatient practice in Linden, NJ. This full-time position features a four-day work week (Monday - Thursday) with no inpatient responsibilities, allowing you to focus on building lasting relationships with your patients. The ideal candidate will be available to start in 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients with a wide range of pulmonary diseases, including COPD, asthma, and interstitial lung disease.


• Diagnose, treat, and manage sleep-related disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.


• Conduct patient consultations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, including pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and sleep studies.


• Develop and implement effective, evidence-based treatment plans.


• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.


• Collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.


• Participate in a light, shared outpatient call schedule.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO).


• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonology.


• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine is required.


• Must hold or be eligible for an active, unrestricted medical license in the state of New Jersey.


• Current DEA registration.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
