Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Danbury, CT to train patients with pulmonary disease in an outpatient setting. The role includes education and exercise instruction as part of a structured program.

The position requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Care, CT license, and RRT credential, with BLS for Healthcare Providers. Prior pulmonary rehab experience is preferred and benefits include comprehensive coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care required.
• Current CT license as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pulmonary rehab education and exercise classes group or 1:1 twice weekly for 6 weeks.
• Oversee the alumni maintenance exercise program offered 3 times weekly.
• Provide airway clearance 1:1 sessions per physician order.
• Perform 6 Minute Walk Tests.
• Fulfils all compliance and database responsibilities related to this position.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department leadership.
