Carle Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to implement and monitor respiratory regimens within the pulmonary rehabilitation program. You will support pulmonary participants, perform assessments, and contribute to care planning with a multidisciplinary team.

You will be responsible for monitoring vitals, assisting with data collection, and delivering education sessions to optimize Phase 2 outcomes. EPIC scheduling and billing duties are also included in daily tasks.

Formación

• Associate's degree or certificate in respiratory care with licensure in Illinois.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (IDFPR) and NBRC certified.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and assess participants during pre, post, and during exercise; report changes to Medical Director.
• Assist in data collection for exercise prescription and individual treatment plans.
• Assist with orientation and respiratory assessment of new participants; contribute to plan of care.
• Document initial assessments and daily participant information and progress.
• Attend team conferences to report progress and help plan future goals for pulmonary rehab.
• Recognize abnormal conditions and initiate emergency care per program policy.
• Instruct participants on pulmonary rehab topics to support Phase 2 completion; lead education sessions.
• Possibly supervise exercise sessions and monitor for inappropriate responses to exercise.
• Recommend interventions or referrals as needed; manage referrals and Pulmonary Function Testing.
• Schedule and billing in EPIC; coordinate referrals for prospective participants.
