Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory assessment, education and treatment within the pulmonary rehabilitation program. This role collaborates with exercise specialists to develop individualized plans and ensures compliance with ACCVPR and CMS guidelines.

A current RRT license with BLS; ACLS within 90 days is required; two years of rehab experience is preferred; a related bachelor's degree is recommended.

Qualifications

• Current respiratory therapist licensure (RRT) and BLS; ACLS within 90 days.
• Two years of respiratory therapy experience; pulmonary rehabilitation preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; specialized training in cardiac/pulmonary rehab.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessment and treatment education in pulmonary rehab.
• Coordinate with exercise specialists to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Ensure documentation meets ACCVPR, Joint Commission, and CMS requirements.
• Provide in-services to other departments and physician clinics as needed.
• Promote program admittance and patient education in the pulmonary rehabilitation program.
