Job summary

Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL, seeks a Clinical Exercise Physiologist for pulmonary rehab. The role supports timely referral follow-up, intake scheduling, patient orientation, assessment, and treatment plan development while coordinating with clinical staff to ensure outcome tracking and discharge planning.

The position is part-time with a 7:00am-5:30pm schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Requires a Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology; Master’s preferred, BLS, and ACSM/AACVPR certification within 3

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field required.
• Master's degree in Exercise Physiology preferred.
• Certification through ACSM or AACVPR required within 3 years if no master's; BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment/monitoring including biometric data and ECG.
• Exercise testing and prescription development with treatment plan execution.
• Communicates safety strategies and leads exercise training.
• Documentation of clinical status and progress reports to providers.
