Job summary

Novant Health's Pulmonary Unit is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. You will perform focused respiratory assessments and intervene early for patients with escalating oxygen and ventilatory needs, while managing tracheostomy and ventilated patients with CPAP/BIPAP support.

The role requires at least 1 year of acute nursing experience, RN licensure in the appropriate state, and a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in the appropriate state.
• BSN preferred but not required for all candidates.
• 1 year of acute nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
• Perform focused respiratory assessments and intervene early for escalating oxygen/ventilatory needs.
• Manage specialized skills including tracheostomy, ventilated patient care, CPAP/BIPAP and heated high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Advanced respiratory assessment and intervention.
• Tracheostomy and ventilated patient management.
