Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine (Pulmonary/Critical Care preferred).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine (and Critical Care Medicine, if applicable).
• Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia.
• Current DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with pulmonary diseases (e.g., COPD, asthma, ILD, infections).
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, bronchoscopy, imaging studies.
• Manage inpatient pulmonary consultations and coordinate with hospitalists/ICU teams.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for complex respiratory conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including primary care, cardiology, oncology, and respiratory therapy.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, prevention, and treatment plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.

Education

Residency in Internal Medicine

Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine

Active Virginia medical license
