Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center invites applications for a Patient Care Technician role. You will participate in direct patient care under licensed nursing staff, record vitals, assist with activities of daily living, and help with transport and situational needs across units including Medical, ED, ICU and obstetric settings.

Qualifications

• Completion of nurse assistant training program.
• Six months nurse assistant experience (preferred).
• EMT experience or completion of first semester nursing school clinical is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform individualized patient-focused care under the direct delegation of a registered nurse.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and intake/output.
• Assist with bathing, feeding, dressing, turning, and transporting patients.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff; collect lab specimens as directed.
• Provide phlebotomy-related tasks in ED as required by department needs.
