Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a friendly Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care to residents with respiratory conditions in a skilled nursing setting.

This role requires a Master’s in Nursing, an NP or PA license, and 6 months LTC experience, with local travel and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license.
• DEA License is required.
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified.
• Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Local travel is required.
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Experience with EMR documentation (training provided) is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
• Diagnose and treat respiratory illnesses (asthma, COPD, pneumonia).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans considering history and lifestyle.
• Prescribe medications and therapies (inhalers, antibiotics, rehab programs).
• Educate patients and families on disease management and adherence.
• Perform spirometry and interpret chest X-rays and ABG analyses.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
• Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
• Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Local travel required
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Prolonged standing/walking. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Computer work. Lifting/moving patients. Prolonged sitting.
