Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a friendly and compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Boston, MA. This part-time role focuses on delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients with asthma, COPD, pneumonia and other pulmonary conditions in skilled nursing facilities.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, prescribe therapies, and educate patients and families. Local travel is required; licensure and CPR/BLS are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license.
• DEA License.
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified.
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Local Travel 100% required.
• Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care (1 year).
• Preferred experience documenting EMR (Sigma/Visual/PCC) with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
• Diagnose and treat respiratory illnesses such as asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on medical history and symptoms.
• Prescribe medications and therapies including inhalers and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, adherence, and lifestyle changes.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and ABG analysis.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.

• Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
• Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Local Travel 100% required
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Prolonged standing/walking. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Computer work. Lifting/moving patients. Prolonged sitting.
