Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. seeks a friendly Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team.

Based in Atlanta, GA with local travel, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to residents in skilled nursing facilities as part of our nationwide network. You will assess, diagnose, and treat COPD, asthma, pneumonia and other pulmonary conditions, develop individualized plans, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted NP/PA/MD license
• DEA license
• CPR/BLS certified
• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 6 months in long-term care or skilled nursing facility
• 1 year of pulmonology or respiratory care experience
• Accredited NP program completion
• Local travel 100% required
• Ability to lift 20 pounds and stand/walk 6–8 hours daily

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical assessments and screenings for pulmonary conditions
• Diagnose and treat asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other respiratory illnesses
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and therapies (inhalers, antibiotics, rehab programs)
• Educate patients and families on disease management and adherence
• Perform spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analyses
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Job Summary

As a Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
• Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
• Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Local Travel 100% Required
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
