Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Pulmonary Diseases team. You will prepare patients for visits, escort them to exam rooms, take vital signs, perform spirometry, and document histories in the EMR.

You will work with providers to assist treatments, educate patients on inhalers and therapies, and support post-visit care. This role supports care for asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience is required.
• Knowledge of medical assisting normally associated with obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance is preferred, National Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation as position requires travel to other satellite sites on a weekly basis.

Aufgaben

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms; prepares patients for examination and treatment.
• Obtains pertinent history, enters into the medical record, and takes/document vital signs.
• Processes and files lab/diagnostic results and clinical notes in the chart after physician review.
• Coordinates patient flow and collaborates with receptionist to ensure timely visits.
• Assists front office by answering calls, scheduling appointments, and other tasks as needed.
