Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. The role involves patient prep, vitals, documentation, rooming, and clinical testing in a team-oriented specialty practice.

The ideal candidate will have MA education with possible externship, CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred, and at least one year of healthcare experience. This is a full-time, day-shift position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED or higher and relevant MA education.
• Certification as CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred.
• 1 year healthcare experience with formal clinical training is valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and document vitals and history.
• Room patients and obtain measurements (vital signs, height/weight, etc.).
• Perform point-of-care testing and venipuncture as needed.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Process prior authorizations and manage medication refills per guidelines.
• Assist with clerical tasks and ensure chart accuracy for providers.
