Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Naperville, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Pulmonary Medicine. You will greet patients, assist with registration and vital signs, and support physicians during exams and minor procedures in a collaborative environment. Travel to other sites may be required.

The role requires completion of an MA program or related health sciences coursework, and active MA certification plus CPR. Experience in clinical settings and phlebotomy basics are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active medical assistant certification (AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA) required.
• CPR certification required or willingness to become certified upon hire.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years of medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
