Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation seeks an experienced practitioner to join the ICU/critical care team. You will provide direct clinical services for critically ill adults under physician supervision, and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should have an active Georgia APRN or PA license, a nursing or PA background, and ICU experience. The role emphasizes leadership, teaching, and adherence to evidence-based practices within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current Georgia license required.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services for critically ill adults within institutional guidelines under physician supervision.
• Obtain patient histories, perform exams, and document findings per hospital requirements.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; explain procedures to patients, families, and learners.
• Perform approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures and document accordingly.
• Intra-arterial/central line insertions and other procedures per credentialing.
• Develop and implement acute illness treatment plans with attending physicians.
• Collaborate with team, participate in rounds, and contribute to quality initiatives.
• Support education and onboarding of staff and trainees.
