Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a part-time Care Partner/Nursing Assistant to assist with patient care under licensed nurse supervision at Vanderbilt Health in Nashville. The role emphasizes dependable, compassionate care, teamwork, and adherence to unit standards.

Night shifts are included with rotating schedules and orientation during the first week. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and relevant nursing assistant training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) required.
• Current enrollment in an RN program with first semester completed.
• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant/Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate required).
• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Care Partner, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Facilitate efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards.
• Serve as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards to support unit operations.
