Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Respiratory Care professional to perform pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Ideal candidates hold an AS degree in Respiratory Care with 2–3 years of experience and must be certified respiratory technician or pulmonary technologist.

Qualifications

• Associate in Science Degree in Respiratory Care.
• Two to three years of experience in respiratory care.
• Certified respiratory technician or certified pulmonary technologist.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and ordered diagnostic services to ensure for adequate ability of patient to be tested.
• Ensure that all quality standards have been performed and are acceptable prior to patient testing.
• Prepare reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform normal equipment maintenance procedures and maintain laboratory area as a clean and safe environment, disinfecting and/or sterilizing all equipment prior to patient interface.
