Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Pulmonary Function Technologist to perform comprehensive pulmonary function tests and oversee respiratory care modalities. The role includes patient instruction, accurate documentation in EPIC EMR, and coordination for transport when needed.

The ideal candidate holds RCP licensure, BLS, and NBRC certifications (RPFT/CPFT) with a background in respiratory therapy and education in respiratory therapy.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with IDFPR license.
• BLS within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• RPFT and CPFT NBRC certifications within 2 years.
• College diploma in Respiratory Therapy.
• Experience in respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Completes a full range of pulmonary function testing.
• Administers respiratory care modalities and monitors effects of therapy.
• Performs accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.
• Prepares patient for transportation and transport.
• Conducts specialty testing (spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion, FeNO, ABG, 6‑min walk).
