Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) lab in Waltham seeks a dedicated PFT Technologist to join the Respiratory Therapy team. You will guide patients through spirometry, DLCO, and oximetry, perform equipment maintenance, and participate in ongoing training and competency programs.

You will document results in ComPAS and Epic, support safety and infection control, and help ensure testing areas stay stocked and compliant.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; BS/BA in Science preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and emergencies.
• Competency in operating PFT equipment and information systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through diagnostic pulmonary evaluations, including spirometry with pre- and post-bronchodilator assessments, body plethysmography, DLCO, and oximetry.
• Perform maintenance and calibration of PFT equipment.
• Document testing information in ComPAS and Epic systems.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols in all testing environments.
• Support training and onboarding of newly hired technologists and maintain annual competencies.
