Job summary

The role requires licensure, BLS, and NBRC exam completion with prior experience preferred. Schedule includes early mornings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Computer skilled with Word, Radnet, Outlook, Encompass, and HBOC.
• Proficient with all age groups within defined patient populations.
• Able to exchange information in patient charts and relay needs to staff.
• Graduate of AMA accredited School of Respiratory Care.
• NBRC RRT/CRT exam passed.
• Michigan License and BLS Certification.
• Two years of practical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confers with patients to gather pertinent information.
• Explains test procedures and administers tests.
• Performs a variety of routine pulmonary function tests.
• Assesses results and routes to physicians.
• Inspects PFT equipment and maintains quality control.
• Performs clerical duties in respiratory care.
• Assists in evaluating new equipment needs.
