Job summary

The University of Virginia is seeking a full-time, tenure-ineligible pulmonary and critical care physician at the rank of Assistant Professor to join our expanding team. The position combines ICU and outpatient pulmonary responsibilities with teaching internal medicine residents, pulmonary/critical care fellows, and medical students.

The successful candidate will hold an MD or equivalent and be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care by the start date.

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent held by start date.
• Board-certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease/Critical Care Medicine by start date.
• Strong ICU and pulmonary medicine clinical skills and a collegial multidisciplinary approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical service in ICU and outpatient pulmonary clinics.
• Supervise, mentor, and teach internal medicine residents, Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows, and medical students.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
