Job summary

The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Virginia is seeking a full-time tenure ineligible critical care physician at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. Rank and compensation are contingent upon qualifications, experience, and scholarly achievement.

Clinical service responsibilities will be divided among assignments caring for the critically ill and managing patients in outpatient clinics.

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent required.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care by start date.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellence in patient care and teaching expected.

Responsibilities

• Teach pulmonary fellows, residents and medical students during consult services and inpatient services.
• Care for critically ill patients in ICU and manage outpatient clinic patients.
• Engage in clinical teaching and scholarly activities as part of UVA division duties.
