Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience, and completion of medical terminology/pharmacology

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of customer service and/or healthcare experience.
• Complete Medical Terminology and Pharmacology online courses within six months of hire.
• Complete BLS course within 1 week of hire and maintain BLS per AHA.
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or registered as a pharmacy technician with 1+ year experience (preferred).
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program with certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• (20-50%) Perform functions that support/provide patient care, room patients, record vital signs, collect expanded med history.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment rooms for examinations and procedures.
• Document patient care and education in the EHR.
• Maintain inventory of instruments and equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Stock supplies and organize supply cabinets; remove outdated supplies per procedures.
• Perform cleaning and sterilizing procedures to support infection control and OSHA standards.
• Mentor new colleagues and students when trained, providing feedback and education.
