Job summary

Sanford Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for an ambulatory/clinical setting with a day shift and 40 hours per week. The role focuses on pulmonary diagnostics and therapeutic interventions to improve cardiopulmonary health in adults and children.

The position requires NBRC credentials, state licensure, and BLS certification, with potential for sleep-disordered breathing data management. Sign-on bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program required; NBRC credentials and state licensure.
• Current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice; multi-state licensure as needed.
• Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; specialty credentials like NRP/ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to prevent, detect, monitor and manage cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve cardiopulmonary health.
• Educate patients to promote preventative care and self-management.
• Collect and analyze specimens to determine oxygen and gas levels.
• Measure lung capacity and interpret results to guide treatment.
