Qualifications

• Requires degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program; NBRC defined minimum associate or equivalent.
• Must hold current Respiratory Therapy licensure in practice states and/or multi-state licensure.
• RRT credentials from NBRC and active NBRC status are required.
• BLS certification is required; site-specific credentials (NRP/ACLS/PALS) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to prevent, detect, monitor and manage disease and complications.
• Measure lung capacity to determine impairments.
• Provide diagnosis results and treatment suggestions based on analysis.
• Work across multiple clinical areas from general floors to critical care.
