Job summary

The role requires RT or RN licensure in the practicing state, BLS certification, and potential NBRC credentials. A valid driver’s license is also required. This is a full-time position with rotating on-call duties and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care from an accredited program.
• Current Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the practice state; multistate licensure if applicable.
• BLS certification is required.
• RTs may need NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT) and active NBRC status.
• Active driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals to prevent, detect, monitor and manage disease related to cardiopulmonary health.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to impact cardiopulmonary health and overall status.
• Educate patients to promote preventative care and self-management.
• Work with patients in home, hospital and clinic settings as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to manage patient care; may include on-call shifts.
