Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure in Nebraska or a compact state as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Evidence of required practice certifications per state or federal standards.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary care per policies.
  • Transports patients safely and coordinates with scheduling and records.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document patient care in pulmonary services.
  • Answer calls regarding scheduling, services or procedures with courtesy and accuracy.
  • Administer medications, treatments and nursing services per physician orders.
  • Administer and monitor conscious sedation under orders and licensure.
  • Set priorities and assignments for daily work and maintain safety.
  • Assist with departmental orientation and student clinical education.
  • Operate pulmonary equipment and maintain cleanliness/disinfection of tools.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and departmental projects.
