Job summary

The Pulmonary RN at University of Southern California Keck Medicine coordinates care with Pulmonary physicians and nurse practitioners, educates patients on medications and testing, and follows up to ensure tests and preventative measures are up to date.

You will triage calls, assess patient knowledge, plan testing and treatments with the physician, and document procedures and patient tolerance in the chart.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain RN licensure in California.
• BSN preferred; experience with pulmonary care is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with Pulmonary physicians and NP.
• Educate patients on medications, testing, and preventive measures.
• Triage calls and assess signs of complications.
• Plan testing/treatment with physician and document results.
• Assist with cardiac procedures in the lab where applicable.
• Support departmental process improvement and patient advocacy.
