Olympic View Post Acute in Port Angeles, WA is hiring a Pulmonary Care RN to care for ventilator-dependent and tracheostomy patients on a skilled nursing team. You will develop care plans for COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary conditions, while monitoring progress and outcomes.

The role involves delivering respiratory treatments, coordinating with physicians and respiratory therapists, and educating patients and families about medications and breathing techniques.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license, or a multistate (compact) RN license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage ventilator-dependent and tracheostomy patients.
• Plan, carry out and evaluate care plans for residents with COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure and other pulmonary conditions.
• Do patient assessments and track progress toward respiratory and rehab goals.
• Give treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulizers, manual chest physiotherapy (CPT) and breathing exercises.
• Give and manage medications safely and accurately.
• Do diagnostic testing such as pulse oximetry, peak flow and specimen collection.
• Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and the interdisciplinary team.
• Teach patients and families about medications, breathing treatments, preventing illness and lifestyle changes that ease symptoms.

Pulmonary Care Registered Nurse (RN) | Port Angeles, WA | $45–$55/hour

Olympic View Post Acute is hiring a Pulmonary Care Registered Nurse (RN) for our skilled nursing team in Port Angeles, WA. You’ll care for patients with complex respiratory needs, including patients on ventilators and patients with tracheostomies. It’s specialized work, and you’ll have the time and support to do it well. What You’ll Do
