Olympic View Post Acute in Port Angeles, WA is hiring a Pulmonary Care RN for our skilled nursing team. You’ll care for patients with complex respiratory needs, including ventilator-dependent and tracheostomy patients, and collaborate with physicians and respiratory therapists.

You will perform treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulizers, CPT and breathing exercises, administer medications safely, and teach patients and families about meds and lifestyle changes that ease symptoms.

Competenze

• Active Washington State RN license, or a multistate (compact) RN license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Mansioni

• Assess and manage ventilator-dependent and tracheostomy patients.
• Plan, carry out and evaluate care plans for COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure and other pulmonary conditions.
• Do patient assessments and track progress toward respiratory and rehab goals.
• Give treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulizers, manual chest physiotherapy (CPT) and breathing exercises.
• Give and manage medications safely and accurately.
• Do diagnostic testing such as pulse oximetry, peak flow and specimen collection.
• Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and the interdisciplinary team.
• Teach patients and families about medications, breathing treatments, preventing illness and lifestyle changes that ease symptoms.
